What We Do When We Connect
Our times to connect include projects, workshops and events where we create, share our work with the community and raise funds for future projects, workshops and events. We are proud to say they have grown each year. We encourage you join us at one of our events or workshops to see the power of the arts and to connect with others in Wheatland County and beyond.
Here are the workshops being held this season so far…
Note: There may have been changes to this calendar since its post.
Please see each individual event for accurate details.

Our “Painted Quilt BEES”!
UPDATE: We currently have 15 completed quilts and are putting them up in the Town of Strathmore. 11 are up, 3 are in the process of being installed and 1 needs a home. See the experience on Pinterest and Our Story Blog. If you would like to have a quilt on your building in the Town of Strathmore, please call 403 983 3640. This opportunity is at no cost to you.
In June 2014 Strathmore hosted “Let’s Make a Pitch”, an event that encouraged non-profits to pitch their ideas for beautifying the town, to a panel similar to “Dragon’s Den”. In fact, Dragon Brett Wilson was part of the panel along with real estate developer, Ron Renaud, and local oil service business owner, Beerd Beekman. This opportunity, along with the beautiful Painted Quilts of Ontario and the Atlantic coast, inspired Sheila Konschuh, our friend and Founder, to make a pitch! The Painted Quilt Project is a metaphor for creative, inclusive community building, and to our delight, Sheila’s pitch won! This $10 000.00 prize has allowed Hope Bridges to host opportunities for any adult to experience the power of connection and community spirit that happens while painting uniquely beautiful quilts. As of Winter 2015, we have found homes for 11 quilts and we are happy to say that they are now playing a part in beautifying the town of Strathmore.
Here is the info on our Painted Quilt Trail – it is out of date but will give you an idea (click on the images below to see in full):
